tonight I, along with a few of the fellas from Faded Me
, will be playing an acoustic show at Borders Bookstore by the Dayton Mall. We should be starting around 8:00ish. We're still trying to decide what we're going to do so come and find out along with us. It could be an hour of praise...or it could be an hour of spontaneous "make them up as you go" songs with the Wing bros. Either way, I think it'll be fun.
I was thinking today that it might be funny/cool/interesting to do a weekly "random word association". And since I was able to convince myself that others might think it to be funny/cool/interesting, I decided to start it today. So please, leave a comment about what immediately comes to your head when you think of this word.
this week's word: sequins (pronounced "see-kwins")
if for some reason this is not funny/cool/interesting to you, please feel free to send your critiques and snide remarks to this man
I don't know of many things in the world that I am more thankful for than music. (outside of the obvious like family, friends, church, etc.) Think about it, it's the one language that everyone understands. Everyone has their taste in music though. It's kind of like different accents in different places. Spanish accents, southern accents, northern accents, french accents, etc. All sound different, but all are capable of speaking the same language. Some like rock, some like hip-hop, some like country (God-forbid), and some like celtic. Kind of like accents, there are extremes to all of them as well. Much like northern accents...and then extreme northern accents. Some like pop-rock, some like hardcore. Some like hip-hop and some like R&B. Above that, I love the fact that it is God's creativity that creates all of it. From the prettiest of piano ballads to the hardest of goth-hardcore, it all comes from the creativity that God gave each person. God has been so good to bless us with His music...let's pray that we are faithful in giving it back.
Psalm 30:12 - "That my heart may sing to you and not be silent, O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever."
